Arabian Horse: From the Desert to the World

Our clients for paintings of the Arab Horse will be interested to know about an exhibition currently showing at Palace House, The National Horseracing Museum, Newmarket, UK. The exhibition tells the story of the Arab horse from its earliest Bedouin origins to the present day, exploring in particular the fascinating story of the arrival of the Arab horse in Britain. In the 19th century, Wilfrid Scawen Blunt and his wife Lady Anne scoured the Middle East to import Arab horses to their stud at Crabbet Park and therefore played a vital role in the success of the breed. Their story is and the activities of the Arab Horse Society are presented in the exhibition through a compelling series of objects. The exhibition runs until 13 July.
